Unorganized to Organized One Project At a TIME
"Things that don't build you should not be part of your life."
"You won't enjoy the peace and quality of life you desire until you clean your house thoroughly."
"I will walk within my house with a perfect heart." -Psalm 101:2
"Let us purify ourselves from everything that contaminates body and spirit, perfecting holiness out of the reverence for God." -2 Corinthians 7:1 {NIV}
"There comes a point in everyone's walk with Jesus when it's time to do some housecleaning. Some things you need to be rid of will be obvious."
"...things may not be harmful in themselves but can be destructive for you because of a negative association."
"...anything you possess that reminds you of people, incidents, or things that are not of the Lord (or make you react negatively with depression, anger, anxiety, or fear) must be eliminated."
"Do not bring a detestable thing into your house or you, like it, will be set apart for destruction." -Deuteronomy 7:26 {NIV}
I have come a LONG way in this project, however, it has taken me A LOT longer than I anticipated. At first, I got upset every time I didn't finish this project by every new deadline I set for myself. I craved to bring a sense of calm and peace through living more organized and could not wait to get it accomplished. Then, over the past year, I kept getting reminders that real change takes TIME. I have not always lived a super organized life, so unwinding all the years of living otherwise will take TIME. TIME being the keyword in many areas of my life, especially in this one. I have since taking the pressure off and have started getting organized one project at a time. Last night's project included my bathroom drawer and two plastic organizers from the ever so wonderful Target:

Blogging Unites
Wow,
people from
Russia-New Zealand-Slovenia-Germany-France-& Singapore
have visited my blog! I was checking out the new features on blogger and ran across these stats. With my lack of posts, I thought surely all the views were going to be from me, however, I was pleasantly surprised that other people, from some countries I would love to visit, actually visited MY little ol' blog. I may not blog much {or at all for that matter} but I am a devoted blog reader/fan and I just have to say I LOVE the blogging world for bringing everyone together to do life side by side and share good finds & advice with each other. Happy blogging:)

Project 365-No bueno-April 22
So, yeah after a couple years of attempting Project 365, I have accepted the fact that it is just no bueno for me for blogging material. I thought it would help me stay consistent in blogging but I haven't blogged in months. So I say so long to Project 365 with a lovely picture from today's evening sky.

On January 4, 2012 I purchased a cheap bottle of Moscato wine to try. It wasn't the best but was somewhat tasty.

January 2, 2012~Project 365
Every year I seem to have way too many calendars.
I want to buy just about every calendar I see at the store and can think of at least one good {usually unnecessary} reason I could use each one.
This year, I managed to cut it down to only three calendars!
A calendar planner I will carry with me {almost} always, one that includes a cupcake recipe for each month for me to bake, and one that will help me remember everything going on in my life.
On January 2, 2012, I sat down and wrote down every important date I could remember and could copy from last year's calendar {such as birthdays and anniversaries} and all the dates I had written down just waiting to be inputted.
There's something about doing this each year that makes me feel more optimistic, organized and prepared for the new year ahead. For those very reasons I love calendars!

January 1, 2012-Project 365
To get started, here are a few pictures for January 1, 2012!
On New Years day of 2010 I began a yearly tradition of watching the first sunrise of every year. Thankfully the fog wasn't too bad and I was able to continue this tradition and catch the first sunrise of 2012:)
This year, I added the traditon of catching the first sunset as well.
Here are a couple pictures I took right before the sunset.

And here is the first sunset of 2012:)
If you look closely you can see two kayakers. Love that!
